What’s up, readers?!!! Today we’ve got the brand new character bio of Anala Mritue’s son, Gagnesh. *Pulls out giant drill* Gurren Lagann! Read on!

Name: Gagnesh Mritue (Translated: Son of Lord Shiva Death)

Bio: Gagnesh Mritue is the illegitimate child sired by Anala Mritue at the age of 15.
In his early life, Anala had gotten over her anxiety and sadness over the trauma of Ednit’s violent revenge towards Gagnesh’s biological father so she could raise him properly.
Determined to ensure he ended up better than her, she took to hunting often, always making sure he had enough to eat, generally bringing him with so she could keep a better eye on him (as her father did with her before she died.)
When Alistair first met the two, Gagnesh was about one year old, and like his mother, he went to America with her.
Growing up in America (especially in Hetelville) was quite different than in India, where his mother tended to mostly reside in the jungle and occasionally going to town.
Originally she wanted to just homeschool him like she was, but as her new life began to get them more and more in contact with the city, she reluctantly chose to enroll him in a local school, though she did have him train in self defense and hunting when at home as well.
Gagnesh met his first friend a few days afterwards (him being eight at the time) in the form of a female Kitsune named Kira Fukui who similarly had just moved into America with her mother when she moved to Hetelville to open a brothel (which to the present day is still quite successful, with Alistair Garth’s brother Rod being a frequent patron), the two became fast friends due to them both being strangers in a new land and some similar interests. By present day she is his best friend, and (unbeknownst to Gagnesh) also has a crush on him.
While Anala disapproved of the work Kira’s mother did, she chose to let her stay friends with Gagnesh because she felt it’d be good for him and she liked Kira. Gagnesh developed a tendency to explore the town by himself, with Kira tending to accompany him as she was more level headed than the impulsive tiger, and they had adventures of their own, which could range from more mundane misadventures…to exploring survival horror setting esque abandoned buildings and having to put up with psychotic monsters and lunatics, thanks to his mother’s training (and Kira’s innate magical powers) he was able to survive even the roughest things he had to deal with, with him becoming more badass over time.
Over the years, he gained more friends, a Tulpa (they’re sort of like an Imaginary Friend that gained a soul and life of its own) named Commander Blastjam, a shy slime girl named Flo, a ditzy robot named Marie Rotwang (who physically resembles a cross between robot Fake Maria from Metropolis (being the daughter of a second generation version of that same robot, this version having been male) and one of the female robots drawn by Jajime Sorayama, such a robot is her mother), a quite intelligent and surprisingly sane mutant from a half destroyed city beneath the Atlantic Ocean named Jacob Young (who while looking deformed actually looks better than his half crazed parents), a human named Ralph (who also happens to be a large geek (especially for cyberpunk) and a ‘crouching moron, hidden badass’ type character), and a foul mouthed, crude, reprobate sasquatch named Mark (who has a voice similar to My Way Entertainment’s Randy Hayes and is based after the characters he tends to play.) Who more or less accompany him on his city spanning adventures and hang out with him.
Also over the years, Gagnesh has grown up while watching Alistair and Anala’s relationship blossom. And during this time, Garth became a father figure to him, with Garth viewing the young tiger as a son, having even took him under his wing as a sort of apprentice. His relationship with his uncle Ednit is poor due to him really only knowing him as Garth’s enemy and a criminal.
By present time, Gagnesh is enrolled in a monster hunting school, working part time at Aurelia’s shop, and is hoping that someday Alistair and Anala will finally marry and make their almost husband and wife esque relationship official.

Personality and Mannerisms: Gagnesh is a hot blooded and impulsive young tiger with little fear and a confident attitude, though he used to be more of an imbecile because of this in the past, by the present he’s tempered this bravery and bravado against sense, and can handle it better now.
Gagnesh has been trained by his mother as a hunter, and is an independent sort capable of living on his own even now, however, he chooses to stay around and help her out with stuff, plus he hasn’t finished his monster hunting courses in school so he can’t enter his preferred vocation yet until he gets his license.
He’s a bit of a pervert (though still a virgin), and (unbeknownst to his Mom) keeps a porn stash hidden in his room, his friends are aware of this and Kira is bothered by it due to her crush on him. But while a pervert, he is a chivalrous one, despite lusting over women with hot bodies, he would never dream of advantage of them and does care about them as people (especially due to how his mother was taken advantage of as a young girl.) He would never hurt a girl intentionally, which is somewhat ironic as he’s totally oblivious to Kira’s pining for him.
Despite not noticing it, he is quite intelligent besides, some people tend to make the mistake of assuming he’s of average intelligence at best or a, lazy slacker at worst. But under his unassuming appearance, he’s a cunning boy with adeptness to trapping, hunting, and strategies.
In spite of this, he’s a bit of a slacker who tends to just lie around and either watch TV or play videogames when not out working. He is quite ambitious when it comes to hunting, but he’s not at top efficency at his part-time job working in Aurelia’s shop.
Gagnesh is a bit of a nerd like Winston, and has a particular interest in first person shooters and (funnily enough given the fact he lives in Hetelville) fantasy RPGs. Thus his interest in gaming helps him in getting along with Winston.
Gagnesh loves his mother very much, and loves Alistair Garth as a father, having no memory of his biological one (and given that said tiger was an asshole, he could care less about him, far as he’s concerned, Alistair is his father), he holds him in high esteem and hopes to one day be as badass as he is. He also cares for his friends, and will defend any of them however he can. As mentioned, he wishes the two would finally marry, and has a grudge against his uncle for refusing them the marriage right. He also dislikes Ednit heavily as he’s continually trying to murder his Dad and because Ednit wants to try and get him on his side, which pisses him off even more.

Powers, skills, abilities, and equipment: Gagnesh is, similar to his Mom, a trained hunter, having been taught how to stalk, trap, and battle prey since he was three, as Anala was (well actually she was four, but the death of her parents meant that it was her uncle who trained her instead), and though a quite capable hunter, he’s nowhere near his mother’s skill level.
Despite this, Gagnesh is quite good at hand to hand combat and can go toe to toe with supernatural beings easily, though he’s not a total expert at this and is still learning this art, but is still pretty good. Unlike his mother though, his fighting skills are less martial arts based and more a mix between them, street fighting, and various tricks he’s picked up on through trial and error and seeing them used, so he tends to be more of an improviser in fights.
While still having a lot to learn about hunting monsters, Gagnesh still knows quite a bit about them, and is a cunning plotter when it comes to figuring out to deal with attackers and monsters, as above, he’s still learning how to do this but is still pretty good at this regardless.
Gagnesh is also a pretty good marksman, Garth being the one who taught him how to shoot when he was a kid (to be fair Garth was pretty young when his father taught him how to shoot), and as you might have been able to guess, he’s a great shot but nowhere near Garth’s level, he’s still learning and is determined to one day be as good as his surrogate father. He’s shown to be particularly fond of duel wielding handguns, but prefers not to fire both of them at once for accuracy reasons.
Gagnesh is in peak physical condition due to him using an exercise regimen very similar to that of his mother’s and as a result, he’s got great (though not superhuman, but like his mother and father, they are very impressive) strength, speed, agility, and dexterity.
One particular thing of not among his skills is that between him and his mother, he’s actually better at parkour, due to him having taken lessons from Aurelia in how to do it, and took to it near naturally.
Gagnesh owns a pair of purified (as in blessed so they can hurt the supernatural) iron nunchucks Aurelia once gave him as a gift, a pair of .45 pistols Alistair got him for his fourteenth birthday, and having recently gained his drivers license (in Hetelville the age you can get one is down a year) and has been saving up money to buy a motorcycle that looks like it came out of AKIRA, he’s had some practice in driving them from borrowing the one Alistair’s brother Rod has used in the past, but is far from good, so he’ll need plenty of more practice before he’s any good at biking though.

Appearance: Gagnesh is a five and a half foot tall tiger boy of about 15 years of age. He’s quite handsome and has a well toned body, being in good physical shape, thanks to his mother’s exercise regimen, while having some muscle on him, he’s not a ‘top heavy guy.’
He has hair that’s worn in a style similar to that of Secret Poncho's Kid Red though it's black instead of red and a bit different, and his tail is a bit thicker than his mother’s. He’s got a pair of green eyes, and like his mother they tend to be of a light shade.
Gagnesh wears a pair of black sunglasses, a pair of brown cargo pants, a camofloge t-shirt, and a grey leather jacket that he prefers to keep open due to his preference to go around without a shirt. He also wears a pair of combat boots that have soles built for traction (these parts being similar to tabi boots) and a pair of shoulder holsters that he keeps his guns in.

Other: Gagnesh was originally designed as an child and previously didn’t have as developed a personality, he also had a brother named Darpan and was a twin. He also didn’t have too much of a role in the plot, as opposed to this version, who’s a main character.
And that, was the profile for Gagnesh Mritue. Next profile up will be Julia Freud's.
